Milepost 5, a mile north of Avalon Pier
For the reader who was wondering about the beach conditions about a mile north of Avalon Pier, here are a couple of pix from that area. Once again, the beach does not look too bad, all things considered. It will get better and better as the summer time approaches and the sand bars move back in to the beach.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to do this! I only "discovered" the Outer Banks less than four years ago, but one of the things that keeps me coming back besides its beauty and peacefulness are the friendly, generous people.
